Requirements
- Strong knowledge of networking and cybersecurity fundamentals, including TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, HTTP/S, VLANs, routing, switching, firewall concepts, VPNs, and network security.
- Hands-on experience or knowledge of AWS networking and security services such as VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Security Hub, GuardDuty, and IAM, with exposure to hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
- Experience with network security technologies such as FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSwitch, Check Point, IDS/IPS, proxies, IPsec, SSL, and firewall policy management.
- Ability to monitor network and security environments, perform alert triage, investigate incidents, troubleshoot connectivity and security issues, and act as an escalation point where required.
- Understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards such as ISO 27001, SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR, PCI-DSS, DORA, and other applicable cybersecurity regulations.
- Knowledge of modern security principles including Zero Trust, SASE, ZTNA, SSE, micro-segmentation, security policy design, access-flow validation, and cloud security controls.
- Ability to perform threat modelling, vulnerability assessments, firewall policy analysis, risk assessments, penetration-testing support, root cause analysis, and corrective or preventive actions.
- Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools, with an interest in automating security operations and decision-support activities.
- Familiarity with monitoring, dashboards, and alerting technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and other operational monitoring platforms.
- Basic knowledge of computing systems, databases, APIs, cloud security settings, cybersecurity frameworks, and scripting languages is required for applicable architecture and technician roles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, coordination, teamwork, prioritization, and documentation skills, with the ability to work independently and effectively in global or customer-facing environments.
